any one konw? knock sensor on a 99 DX hatch?
i wanted to know i just did a mini me swap and im not sure where the knock sensor is also do i need if for vtec to pop?

more info? im assuming its swapped, since dx models never came with the vtak sauce. either way, yes, you need a knock sensor if youre staying obd1 in order for vtec to work. it should be located right above your oil filter.

bseries but its the same relative location for d series
the y7 doesn't have one from the factory, you'll have to get one from a b series vtec or D16Y8
VTEC will still work without it

so will i have to tap into the block or somthing or is there a sensor there already
basically i have a 99 civic dx non vtec and i didi a mini me and i heard that i need a knock sensor ?
can i do without one?
where is it on the y7 block because i cant find it?
