Any EG owners w/ITR rearsway?
just wondering if anybody out there has bolted on an ITR rear sway to their EG civic and how hard/long was it to do? i'm in the process of getting a rearsway and i'm leaning toward an ITR sway bar since it's cheap and beefy.

doing it tommorow. My friend did it on his EK hatch and it was quite simple he says, anyway 2nd time should be easier. Be sure to go w/Beaks reinforcement kit so you dont tear out that subframe...y0

You'll need ITR Lower Control Arms. Also, I recommend Beaks kit.
Not very difficult. If you want to use the Beak's kit, drilling of the sheet metal is required.

If you use the ITR LCAs you'll need rear ITR struts or similar shocks, thats the route i'm taking, doing it on saturday. And as mentioned before, get the beaks kit http://www.beaksproducts.com. If you need endlinks and stuff Wil at beaks can help you get that type of stuff.

wow, this is gonna run me more than i thought so basically i just need either an ITR or GSR LCA...and Beak's kit. i'll have to calculate how much it's gonna run me before i start on this task. Christmas is coming so i've got to be gentle on the wallet!

can you? Then any non ITR LCA will work, cause they're all the same.
Didn't know.

Its a good bar. Just really depends on your driving habits. Alot of dicks will try and flame but I think oversteer is great just as long as you know how to correct it.
Put it on there and dont be surprised of the surprised. Let "lift throttle oversteer" work for you.

Not all LCAs will work, some have holes to support endlinks and others do not, I have a 92 VX and my LCAs will not work with an ITR bar.

I believe since you have an SI that you already have a stock swaybar, and that the endlinks from it might actually work fine with the ITR bar, i'd wait for more info from someone though.

I have had the ITR rear sway for just over a year now. Great suspension upgrade. I would take it easy for a day or two till you get used to it. I noticed a lot more oversteer when I put mine one.
You can use any Integra rear lca. You can use the ITR rear lca but you'll need Shocks for the ITR, if you plan to get nice suspension pieces from Japan like Tien or so, you'll need the ITR rear LCA's cause the EG's in Japan use the same LCA's. Anyways.
I'm using the Beaks kit also. It does require drilling but it takes like 10 mins to do it, and really does help beef up the rear subframe. No tear out yet (knock on wood*), and I have pushed the car.
Here some upskirt shots I took the other day.

Re: Any EG owners w/ITR rearsway? (SkyeC)
The Si does not have a rear swaybar stock. No 92-95 does.
I've done this swap on my 93 del Sol (same as any 92-95). You can use Integra (94-00) or del Sol VTEC (any year) or del Sol Si (96-97) LCAs. A reinforcement kit is a must as far as I'm concerned, and I used Beaks. Its cheap, excellent quality and I've had zero problems (aside from having to figure out a way to mount the LCA tie bar I also had, but then Wil fixed that too!).
The difference is night and day when upgrading from no bar at all. Nice neutral handling, can get throttle oversteer by coming off the gas in a corner. Nice and controllable too. The only word of caution I would say would be to avoid doing this right now if you have stock springs and shocks. I personally believe that this is the reason why so many problems occur with subframe tear-out, as the stock suspension (particularly when old) permits too much travel, the sway bar resists and you end up with problems where the sway bar meets the chassis.
Just my perspective.

Awesome handling now.....absolutely love it. Definite recommend.
I work in Houston and occasionally take the Honda down there. Where are you located? Maybe we could meet up and I can let you see for yourself what it feels like with the ITR bar......
I'm just south of 610 on Stella Link.

Re: Any EG owners w/ITR rearsway? (EG6owner)
Well ****, I live in College Station, so I come past the NW side Mon-Thur. However, I leave home before 5:00 am, and usually head out of Houston after 5:30 pm or so. Maybe we could meet up someplace off 290?
Regarding the understeer you mentioned....the Civic platform is designed to understeer from the factory - its common to front wheel drive cars and considered "safer" that way. Rememeber understeer is when you turn the wheels and continue straight ahead, whereas oversteer is when the back end comes around (like a rear wheel drive car).
HTH!

damn, i 'm gonna get an ITR sway bar after hearing all your comments. but i'm gonna have to tear apart my rusted down 99LS first and take apart everything. hey, just wondering...don't 94+integra's have rear sway bars too, or do only ITRs and GS-Rs have them?
