Any damage done to '03 SI ? HELP!!
my mom just picked up a 2003 black SI after finally talking her into it. she let me take it for a spin with only 34 miles on it, and i ripped on it pretty bad like a total dumbass, redlining every gear. i just hope that now enternal damage was done for doing so without proper break-in (600 miles). can i please recieve some feedback on what possible or permenent things that could of happened to the motor. im trippin on it thinkin i fu**ed it up. thanx a lot. happy holidays to everyone.

First of all... its Internal... not enternal.
Second of all, did the car show any signs of problems? If not, Id say just don't do it again... I know you may have shortened the life of the motor since the rings haven't seated properly... but lets say the car will go to like 175k instead of 200k miles...

I know that some cars do not have a break-in...ex.. some new Fords.....
you might have done some damage, but luckly there is that wonderful warranty that comes with the car if something totally goes wrong...
