i have a 1994 honda civic EX and i did a few searches and could not find anything on how to remove the OEM anti-theft device. (to be honest i didnt know it had one, there is no "alarm" and well i just never noticed it the car does not beep when i lock it. hell the locks dont even work!) but where or what wires am i looking for???please help!! im pretty sure id be looking under the steering column right?

Not sure but on lot of cars "anti theft" refferes to the radio needing a code to activate after power has been lost, so incase it was stolen someones needs the code. Another reason i dont think you has a alarm is because a EM1 dont .

i figured thats what it was, and the car does not have a radio (took it out) soooo if the car does not have an alarm, and the radio does not need an anti theft code...my starter clicks...a lot /the fuel pump primes, the main relay works...but nothing. i turn the key and the starter just clucks away.
oh yeah and its not an EM1 its an EJ1

The radio wont affect the car starting anyways i think, check the grounds and try hotwiring the starter. Had a similar problem in a friends da.

yeah im gonna check the grounds, it should work i mean i took it to a shop and when i brought it home turned the key and it fired right up. now its doing the same stuff before it was fixed.
they told me first it was a bad ground (good call z6hatchboy) and that a new bolt was all it took. then it did the same thing and had the same problems and i took it to them again,
they told me that it was a bad wire in the anti-theft system and the car starts right up. (but not its doin some more things that are just like the last 2 times)
how do you hotwire the starter just run a "hot wire" to its power terminal and see if it cranks?

yea, you should be able to run a hot wire from your battery straight to your positive terminal on the starter.

lol, dont do the screwdriver thing. I tried that with my jetski and it shocked the expletive out of me. just pull out a plug, and leave it in the plug boot and watch the gap and see if it sparks.
