Annoying Idol
nYea... i have a 2nd gen b16 in my eg, and im guessing the TPS or the IAC sensor is bad..but the check engine light does not always come on for some reason.. and when i start the car the idol is real high and as it gets warm thats when the idol start jumping... it is so annoying.. so if anyone knows EXACTLY what the problem might be let me know.. thanks.

HAHAHAHAH...Thats what I was thinking but seriously I would adjust your idle control valve. Does the motor sound ruff when its idleing? Adjust the valve on the tb above the butterfly until the motor sounds smooth and the idle will stop jumping around. I had to do this when I installed my jd/edelbrock tb, the car idled like crap and would throw a CEL when was in stop and go driving. Oh also when your doing this put your timing back to stock(16 degrees) and let the car warm up first. What code is it giving you when the cel comes on?

Re: (Jmunk)
You should try removing the IACV valve from the back of your intake manifold and clean out the holes. The Iacv is the thing thats held in by two 12mm bolts. Once you remove it there will be two holes that go into the intake manifold and into the IACV. One will have a screen and the other wont. If the screen is all gunked up with oil you can spray some engine degreaser onto it and wipe most of it off. That usually does the trick for some people.
