another torn subframe thread...
torn my rear subframe this weekend... the bolts got ripped out of the subframe, no cracks. I took the sway off my car tonight. just wondering how safe is it to do my daily drivin'?
what do you guys think the repairs will run me?

i dont see any risks by driving w/o a sway bar unless im am missing some indo here. some cars dont come with a rear sway so it should be pretty safe.

Re: another torn subframe thread... (H9Ek22)
the reason for the rear sway is to make the car oversteer more, b/c front wheel drive honda predominately understeer, which is good for your mom and dad, but when you, a performance enthusiatist, want more cornering action, you want the car to oversteer more so you can take the corners faster.

yeah, that and it helps to reduce body roll. when one side of your car is depressed, the force of the depression is transferred through the bar in an attempt to flatten out the car. that's why they're sometimes called "anti-roll" bars. sorry to hear about your subframe too. that's a mess and a half

I always thought hte beaks kit didnt look all that great.. i mean i'm sure it works for some or even most.. but I'd say the comptech swaybars rear tiebar setup would provide much more protection, because it runs from side to side and under the bolts, all in one large piece of metal connecting everything.
all the beaks kit is is a big fat washer
