another overheating' problem...
Well heres another overheating problem... i research'd all the threads and im still not sure why it's overheating...
i replaced my headgasket.... and i just done smogging my car and i ask the mechanic if my water pump was gone and he said, "if your water pump was gone your car would not of passed the smogging, and its still good to me". With that out the way, i wondered... wtf?
On Streets: temperatures are normal... but when i hit 4th/5th gear, or going up hill it would overheat, same as going on the freeways... down hill and on street 1-3rd gear normal temp...
and when i touch my hoses... top hose is solid and hot and long bottom hose running to the thermostat is squishy and warm...
my radiator is not leaking, nor the radiator cap does not shoot out steam... and i would somehow have to fill up on water on the radiator all the time..
i just bought a new thermostat and ganna put in tomorrow... my switch and relays are fine, except for the one in the fuse box.. i have 2 condesor fuse, 1 would not even turn on the fan, and the other one just just turn on the fan untill my batteries dies out wtf? lol
and my gauge never hit the red part of the temp just goes near max and back down when on neutral...
any advice?

First thing I'd check is whether or not the fans turn on like they're suppose to. And since you the headgasket was done recently, I'd check for air pockets in the system, especially since you've been having to top it off.
Air pockets can cause your sensors to think it's overheating when it's not.. They designed to measure coolant temp, not air temp.
Good Luck

well insection of today was horrid... i saw some corrosion and white/green gunk near the thermostat...
upon removing the 2 bolts the upper left bolt broke off, not even putting much pressure of torkin it... so now i have to hammer it out... will do tomorrow currently busy...

condenser fan only comes on with a/c so the blown fuses shouldn't have had anything to do with the temp. maybe you cooling fan relay. just throwing ideas your way.

looks like you found the problem and if that doesnt work change your water pump. if you cant fix your fan problem try hard wiring a switch so you can turn it on when you want.
