Another Noob =)
What's up guys! I'm new to the forum but not new to Honda cars. I've been working alot in Hondas for years. To make long story short and why I'm posting here in the EG/EK forum is because I used to have a 5th Gen Prelude (R.I.P.) and one month ago I was involved in a hard accident that left my Prelude in ruins. The whole back driver side is completely gone, chassis bent, everything!! BUT, my motor wasn't damaged at all!! So here is the reason why I'm here; Soon I will be buying a 96-00 Civic Hatch and will be swapping my H22 to the hatch!! I always loved Civic Hatchbacks, specially the EK hatch. So hopefully in my built, if I have any questions, you guys could help me out. Thanx

Welcome, you'll probably get alot of haters wanting you to not put an H in your hatch, but put a B instead. Don't listen to them. They'll give you the whole it weighs more story, which is only like 20 pounds. But welcome. Im a big H fan.

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=684550 thread that proves it since i know that a lot of morons will say that H-series motors are sooooo heavy....pick up an H2B adapter plate for your tranny and pick up a gsr or ITR tranny i bet you will like that motor a lot more after that
Edit: please read the stickies at the top of the page also...everyone on here will respect you that much more

Yeah I know alot of ppl don't like the whole EG/EK H22 transplant. But why am I going to spend my money and time in a B series when I already have my H22 in my hands and works so good and with only 100,000 miles on the clock!! I loved my H22 on my Lude. I won't have the body but I will still have the heart!!!

Little tip: I think the best way to search this site is to use yahoo's search engine and restrict the search. For example, to look up posts that contain H22 and Prelude, type the following in the Yahoo search window:
H22 Prelude site:honda-tech.com
It is a very good forum for engine swaps and repairs in general. Some misinformation crops up from time to time but usually enough people catch it that it is filtered out.
