another hit and run
okay, so im driving in the rain and i come to a dead stop at a red light. im sitting conversing with my cousin. The next thing you know a black 2nd gen rx-7 rear ends the fu** out of my car, my head hits the steering wheel, my head unit flys to the back seat, and my rear view fell off, rolling to the other side of the intersection. i was dizzy for a good 15 seconds thinking i was dreaming. then this girl driving this car pulls over, so i take a minute to pull over still dizzy. she gets out, asks me if im alright a couple times. then out of nowhere my cousin starts yelling "she's bailing, catch her". so i end up chasing this car around 12:30 am around glendale breaking SO MANY laws, she even took me through a speed bump area. i tried to pin her but there was no way, she hit me on my passenger quarter panel. i was sooo pist off by this time, we were on the phone with the cops and we were on hold for the whole time, and no glendale cops saw our 15 minute spree through glendale. she finally lost me (couldn't see if she went right or left) THEN AND ONLY THEN i run into 2 cops. filed the report, and they caught her, DUI. she even did a hit and run on a suv, a little before or after mine. so she is going to jail for many charges and my cars rear end and quarter panel are fucked up
its going to be reported to my insurance first thing and hopefully i get this **** fixed asap. so im just asking for your input?
heres the car before
EDIT: after pics uploaded thanks to chyknees

Re: another hit and run (frosteg6)
damn that sucks. dont worry though.
guy i used to work with got hit HARD from behind by a drunk bitch in a bmw one day, and she ran off. luckily his friend in the passenger seat didn't get hurt, and also had the prescence of mind to get the plate number, while my friend (the driver) lie unconcious at the wheel. passenger called the cops & ambulance. cops later caught up to her, in the midst of a drunken stupor while trying to drive her smashed bmw.
she got sentenced to eight months (yep, she's still in there), friends car was totalled. her insurance paid for the repairs, and he sued for injuries and ended up getting over 6 figures. damn.
you may want to consult a lawyer & see if you can get some $$$$$.

yeah, definitely get a lawyer. you can sue her for a lot. And try to get HER insurance info. You shouldn't have to claim it on your insurance, which would make your premium go higher and stuff. Call her insurance company tell them she hit you, she obviously at fault. Bring it to shop, her insurance pays for it, you don't have to pay any deductable. Then get a lawyer and sue the **** out of her. You should be able to get at least a couple hundred dollars on top of the cost of repairing your car.
That's definitely fucked up, sorry to hear about that...

i intend on getting this fixed if its not totaled, it doesn't look like it has frame damage but could be a possibility, the part where my spare goes buckled so i dont really know as of right now, my friend is going to post pictures some time today and tell me if you think it is totalled. i also have no idea where im going to find a clean shell since i live in southern california.

I dont know if this makes you feel any better but... last night (halloween) about midnight-12:30ish kansas time, my buddy with the cleanest E30 BMW alpina replica i've ever seen go in a hit and run. the dumb *** went between 2 of my buddies' cars on a 2 lane road and almost ran into me right after that. then he almost hit my buddy with the bimmer so he went off after him. long story kept a little short.... crazy driver ended up rear ending the bmw and flying off. and you've got all 7 or 8 of our cars and probably 11 guys searchign an apartment complex for the guy. cops come, and hes hauled off to jail for reckless driving, hit nad run, and some other charges we arent sure of.... good luck with yours man.

Ok well I was gonna say if you didn't have one like some of u here; you prolly won't get much or if any money.
You best empty her pockets clean.
Glad ur OK in any matter.
