Default Another EM1 checkin' in!

what's up everyone. just bought an electron blue 2000 si day before yesterday. this car is soo much fun!

How do you fix this crap?

i just detailed my new street sled yesterday, so i'll get better pics. also, after using engine brite to clean the b16 then a pressure washer to rinse, i now have a check engine light. i would assume this is a quick fix???

Is it running any different since you pressure washed the engine? Maybe some water got down in the spark plug holes.

it runs fine. the light isn't cutting in and out; it's constant. even the next day. roll tide, btw.

i'll pull the kick panel and check the cel code as soon as i find some tools and a paperclip.

i appreciate the help.

here's the last whip i had. '90 240sx with a twincam swap.

not too good on 240's, but are you talkin about an sr20, or a dohc ka swap cause i thought only 89's came with the sohc setup, then in 90 or 91 or something they came factory with the dual cam ka.

Be careful with that car. That is a car the thieves love! Don't leave it parked outside if not needed. I keep my EBP Si in the garage, and we have a secure parking lot at work.

absolutely. i'm going to make a setup so that hotwiring won't get it anywhere to go with my alarm.

which reminds me, the last owner lost the keyless entry remote. anybody ever had the dealer set them up with a new one?

Well I think that EM1 is gonna be checking out on him any time soon.

OP it doesn't matter how much security you have because that electron blue only came on the Si model and thieves know that.

I didn't realize it was more prone to CELs than any other Honda. I've never owned one so I wouldn't know anything about it. How come they're worse though?

Really? We have them on EJ8s in Canada, too.

Think about this. How would you drive one if you owned one?

i ordered a few on ebay for $10 or so, some of them actually come with directions to set it up so you dont have to waste time going to the dealership, depending on which seller you buy from. there should also be directions in your owners manual on how to set it up. GL with your car. bump for a fellow si owner!! loving that electron blue!!

heres a link, this one is a little more expensive but you get the idea.
