another dumb ls/vtec question
i made a big mistake buying this car and now im trying to make it right
94 dx coupe ls/vtec
i did a compression test
150 145 140 120
(i was shocked at them numbers)
A buddy of mines has a 94 prelude si with a jdm h22a swap and i eat him all day
but the shop suggested that it would be my pistons rings, they basically said 900 fix to make it run to par
stock ls/vtec everything b18a1/b16a b16tranny no lsd
found a deal
pr3 pistons with new rings
ctr cams
arp headstuds
arp rod bolts
oem head gasket
install on them parts is going to be 400 : (
what esle am i missing to make this car more reliable and any ideal on how much hp i'll be making?

Re: another dumb ls/vtec question
When you did the compression test, did you make sure the engine was still hot and that you had the gas pedal all the way to the floor when you were cranking it over?
