Default Another brake question, this time, calipers

Upon pushing the piston back into the caliper the rubber boot like thing looked like it was worn out and was trying to come out of place. Will this cause problems in the long run? I plan to change my calipers within the next six months. I'm talking about the rear calipers, on the passenger side.
