anooooother obd2-obd1 question
first off i posted this here because the EG+ forum gets better response, usually
my car:95 civic
engine 98 b18c-J
i have my d16z6 harness to play with also
i hear of people using a whole obd1 distributor on the 96+ engine
then i read a thread where someone said you can just pull the pins on the obd2 plug and re-pin them into the two obd1 plugs
then i read where someone just cut all the wires and color matched and soldered them together....
then i hear from a knowledgeable friend that it is all plug and play if i use an obd1 harness for the engine.....but the dizzy is still obd2...??
i see how they all work, but what did you do? and did you have any problems or suggestions?
if i cant get an answer here, it will just be trial and error for me tomorrow

when I did my b16a2 swap into my 94 civic, I left the obd2 distributor and just cut the plug off and wired up the obd1 plug. Really the only wiring I did was that, the injectors add the vtec and pressure wires. And I just used my old altranator but had to rig a bracket. Oh and extend the 4 wire o2 sensor. No problems so far and it rev's to 9000 rpm with a chipped p28............
