annoying beep

Re: annoying beep (v-tecnition)
Go under the dash and disconnect the thing that's beeping. Keep it there, because you'll want to hook it back up the next time you lock your keys in the car.

Use bubble gum or duct tape to hold the contact switch on the door jamb closed . . .
Or take the keys out of the ignition. Or close the damned door.

Re: annoying beep (SIC-CIVIC)
remove the drivers side door switch. noise is gone but no dome light switch when drivers side door open. better yet, do what i did, hook up a switch in series with the drivers door switch.... when your working on your car turn off the switch... on normal days turn on the switch.

The only time it doesnt beep is when the car is running. To have tunes on it has to be set to II. Key in the ignition while its not running the thing beeps. I dont care about the dome light not coming on when the door opens. Thats why theres a ONdoor/off switch. If i need it i can turn it on.

To have "tunes" on ... it has to be set to (I) ... accessory. If you turn it to (II), which is Ignition, the car will be on for all intensive purposes. The only thing that won't be running is the engine itself. Here's a video I just shot to show you that the beeping stops.

The proof is in the pudding.

Lol I love how people go out of their way here on H-T to be ******** to stupid remarks. If your beeper is on when your at the II selection in your ignition and it still beeps sounds like you broke something.

Re: annoying beep (Targa250R)
One of the most interesting threads of June 3rd 2007...haha..
Yea having it on II should/will make the beeps stop. I never liked having it sit there on that selection due to the fuel pump priming for those couple of seconds then the engine not using it...could be me just being paranoid but I just don't like it. More or less its up to you, the owner, on how much trouble you want to go through to make it stop. If you have time a patients you could probably bypass it with a switch so the dome light works or something but I figure it's just a stupid little beep and I turn it to I for acc, turn on the tunes, roll down the windows and shut the door. Good luck to ya though.
