Am I resetting Ecu correctly? Help!
i just wanna make sure that im doing it right so i don't mess things up. first you take out negative clamp on battery and let it rest for about 15-20 minutes. after the 15-20 minutes are up, plug it back in and turn the car on and let it idle for around 15 minutes then u do a couple of hard runs to get the ecu going again...Tell me if i am missing anything???

You have the right idea- Just take out the negative clamp for, oh I don't know. 5-10mins, plug it back in. ECU should be resetted. No need for hard runs.

u dont have to have it off for that long. 30sec is plenty long enough. imo i mean i have fixed my check engine light plenty of times by say fixing my o2 sensor and u just un hook power cable for about 30sec or so and hook it back up. that is it. done
