Hey i kno a lot you you jdm ****** want amber needles for your usdm cars but all you can do is paint them and that sucks!

While i do hate jdm and the bandwagon/new wave rice it has beocme i figured id help ya out...

I know most people with eg's have to paint the stock cluster needles instead of getting real clear/amber ones like these.

I can't vouch for how well they work or anything, but i dont see why they would sell them if they don't work....

I'll let ya kno when i get some, for my USDM cluster mwahaha

Why would they sell the Turbonator? I mean, it supercharges your car for $69.95, but other than that, does nothing.......

you cut the stock needle off and stick this one on so the calibration will not be affected.
they claim it will self align to the the end part of whats left of the needle.

I am the designer / manufacturer of Lumi Needles. I understand the apprehension from the more than jaded Honda purists so i am going to explain the product a little for those interested. First off, made in the USA. I am a professional product designer and this particular project took 2 years to perfect. I had to study fluorescent chemistry and optics in order to optimize the needle cad designs. I injection mold them myself out of polycarbonate at 500 degrees. The needles are doped with a custom mix of titanium oxide and fluorescent pigments to acheive the seven colors we sell. The needles are exposed to the very specific wavelength of 365 nanometers (Ultraviolet) and the oxide in the needles rejects the UV light. This causes a delay of the wave which then migrates to the 450 nanometer spectrum or (Blue) to be specific. So there is quite a bit of science taking place. Yes the needles do maintain original callibration because they automatically line up over what is left of the clipped stock needles. Quite simple really.
$70 is nothing to sneaze at and i understand. The kits come with a 2 year warranty.

I invested HEAVILY into this product line, it was not an easy thing to do but i walked the walk and here it is. So yes, it is $70 with a 2 year warranty. Not some lame *** 90 day if you bought it on a second full moon only warranty. I designed the kit because my CRX needles are solid white plastic and nobody had a kit to make them illuminate. I did experiment with fluorescent paints but they last about 60 days before the stuff fades out and the paint looks like crap. We are now producing real carbon fiber needle caps to go with our kits and they are sick. Avail in a week. Anyway, thank you for the chance to speak.

Yes i have been working on red, but it has been difficult to get the shade right on the money. But i should have something soon.

As far as those gauges without tach's for the EK, yes we make those but on a per customer basis with no extra cost involved. It only involves milling down 2 needles to shorten the length of them. The fuel and temp needles. But lighting positions obviously remain the same as its tachometer version.

The most popular colors are Cobalt Blue and Amber.

This year we are tooling up for in house Honeycomb Carbon Fiber Composite Hoods. This method of composite construction achieves extreme rigidity over current market
CF hoods. And they weigh in at approximately 4 Lb's. Just think in terms of how modern aircraft are built and that is the manufacturing method we are taking.

Neat product I will buy them when/if I can get them for 40-50$. While I respect the amount of time you've put into developing them, it doesn't make the end product any more valuable to the consumer - it's still just UV reactive plastic to us.
