am I asking too much
I'm selling my Civic and I haven't been getting too many phone calls about it, just wondering does anyone here think I'm asking too much $$
I have a 1996 DX hatch.
aprox 160,000 miles, which is 220,000kms
I have a CTR Grill
Home Brew CTR lights
Areospeed Coilovers
KYB GR2 Shocks
AEM Cai
17ibch Enkei Rp02
brand new Ventus plus 205/40/zr17 rubber
Spoon strut bars
I still have the original D16, and it has high miliage, but it runs like new,and there isn't a scratch on it.
I'm asking 9000$ Canadian aprox 5700$ USD.
thanks for the help

Re: am I asking too much (fed_with_a_SPOON)
that price is actually not bad at all..
i seen ek's with less done to it, and they were selling it for more than $10G cdn.
my bro bought his 97 bone stock with 120kms and it was $9Gs
ur enkeis and z rated 17" tires arent cheap man.... $9G for ur car is actually a bargain.

might be a little on the high-side, but depeneds on the condition as well. if it is in good condition, there will be a market for it. don't count on the mods to add to it. you might sell the rims seperately, for example, and get more than keeping them on the car and selling them together.
good luck with your sale.
good luck with your sale.

i think its too much...I saw a 98 dx hatch w/ 37,xxx miles on it for 6K USD...but if the car is in good shape and still runs well I dont see why it wouldnt go easily for $5000. The right person would know to just swap in a new motor anyway...

That is really high! I have seen some in Ontario area with less milage (160,000KM) for like $7000. And these are 98s.....not 96. Lower you price to maybe $7000 or maybe even $6000 (no wheels) and you will probaly getting more response. Good Luck!

Part the car out... as soon as you modify the car, you are taking away a decent part of the marketplace (ex. older people who may want a daily driver... most people who dont' know much about cars tend to think that when they see a modified car, it was beat on). I'm the same way. Good luck.
