Aluminum Radiators For MT Only...Why?
My OEM radiator has a really really bad leak so i was looking around at aluminum radiators as a possibility for a replacement.
My car is an auto and all the ones i see say for MT only...why is this? is the AT larger? will it not fit? different valves on the radiator?

The radiator for automatics has places at the bottom to run coolant through the transmission i believe, but other than that, they should be the same.

The extra taps are to assist with additional cooling due to the AT....

When my car was auto I had a fludyne radiator and trans cooler on there. You have to get the trans cooler or you risk over heating your trans. I still have the fludyne trans cooler left over from my swap. If you want it pm me...

Had the same problem as you. Radiator was leaking on the top (crappy plastic tops) so i bought an 2"inch think aluminum Radiator for $189 shipped! Thinking that my problem was solved. Found out it was only for manual, which does not have the oil cooler transmission for the two lines I need. Found out that you need the oil cooler or you risk the chance of overheating your trans fluid. Found out it can been done! Just to have fabricate your two lines to an oli cooler. Go dwn to Kragen, Autozone, etc... Buy an Oil cooler transmission, runs about $50 bucks. Come with everything you need in the box. Place the item infront of your radiator, which i did. Fitted perfect, or you can run in it the back of radiator, if you don't use your stock fan. Works great for me, No more plastic radiator, and my oil lines are cooled faster with it in the front. With an nice big 2"inch aluminum radiator!

It depends on what kind of radiator you are going with? Some radiators have the oil cooler in it already, like the OEM radiator. Aftermarket ones, depends. If going the way I did, then yeah! Your good to go.
