Alternator Replacement
Hello,
I was trying to get the alternator out of my 97' Honda Civic. I know how to do it, but am having difficulties that I have also read about when doing a search on google. I was trying to punch the bottom bolt out, but it does not budge. The upper bolt that is in the slot comes out just fine, but the bottom one is just being a pain. Every time I try to do something on the car I find it difficult due to the bolts rusted. Any suggestion for getting this bottom bolt off, I soaked it in some blaster, should I put some heat to it?
Thanks.

Re: Alternator Replacement
D-series right? you should post more info.
iirc there is a bracket that holds that bolt thing assembly on and it's held on my 2 12mm bolts see if you can undo them. I'm not 100% never had to do anything to my civic when I owned one.

Re: Alternator Replacement
Try CRC Freeze-off. Ive gotten some of the nastier bolts free on several different cars and find it works better than PB blaster. If not, unbolt the alt bracket from the block.
