hey guys i need your guys' help, i have this problem, my alternator belt kept rippin on me, and i didnt know why. but i realize yesterday, the pulley was slightly bent. so it would rip new belts all the time. i was wondering if i could just change out the pulley on the alternator from another one. but i was wondering if a sohc and dohc pulley alternator was different? i got a 93 hatch with a jdm b16 and im havin this problem. someone help? thanks

Re: Alternator Pulley
Yup, should be able to. It's just held on with a nut. Use an impact wrench to get it off easier. And heck if I know, but I could check I suppose. It would probably also depend which brand alternator it is...maybe. You know, Denso, Mitsubishi, whatever.
If you end up needing a pulley, I have an old GSR alternator I can pull a pulley off of and sell. Damn thing fried after running 2 amplifiers without a capacitor.
