Default Alternator problem?

I have a 95 civic with a gsr.
Everytime I go at high rpm my battery light starts flickering or stays real dim too
Checked my belt its tight checked ground cables nd positives
Checked the voltage with car on gave me like 14v with lights off with lights on fog lights on
Gives me about 13.8v
Could it be my alternator about to give out or something else?

take it to get checked - free at most auto parts stores.

have them do a "system test" and explain your symptoms. it will confirm.

How tight is the belt? It's not supposed to be too loose nor too tight.

You could try to tighten the belt a little. A good test I go by to see if it's the right tension, is you should not be able to turn the belt more then 180*. Grab it 1/2 way between pulley and alternator and try to turn it sideways, should not be able to turn more than 180 degrees.

it could be the voltage regulator inside the alternator. Sometimes at high rev, it will flicker and die out. Also re-check the the grounds.

Could be. If you get the alternator tested you'll know.

Check amperage off positive cable with inductive probe..might not be intense enough

So the voltage regulator is in the alternator so if I get a new alternator I'll get a new regulator
