Default alternator/electrical problem

well...on my 3rd alternator..in 3 months...was headin to the gym...my voltimeter would go back and forth, rpms, would go up and down...so i got her (2000 Si LS/V-tec) back to my house, check fuse..running 100 amp under hood...it was ok, now instanly im thinkin alternator...has that tested this mornig, that was ok, now my boy is a mechanic, took in my battery, it was low on acid, and was at about 75 percent life, i guess theres plates, and when it heats up the melt together....wires and connetions are all ok, no corrosions..i do have a sub and amp, a few gauges, nothing more then i had in my other civics, any anwser to wat it could possibly be otherwise..im gettin a new batt tom morning intersate mudd 2 something like that he rec. it...and other civic owners run thro alternator's? it tested fine,...

update..well i found a short on the ground wire i think, its the wire that connects to the stationary bolt on the alternator, cut out the melted part, spliced together, thought all problems were solved, yet still blowing fuses, any more suggestions???

how is your amp grounded in your car? I was dumb when I did mine (i have a del slow) and wired my amp to the rear right speaker mount (sanded it down perfect) but as it ends up that's not a DIRECT connection to your vehicles ground, it has to move through welds, so it made me ruin my battery for some reason. Re-did the connection to the floor pan seat bolt and now everything is working (and new battery isn't dying and alternator isn't overworking).

just a thought!
