Alternator belt removal issue

Alternator belt removal issue
I'm replacing my cylinder head and I'm having an issue removing the alternator belt in order to get the lower timing cover off. I've read another thread to where it, was taken to a mechanic. Basically the bottom bolt is seized and will not move. I have the top bracket off bolts included. The lower nut is off. I've tried using wood smacking it with a hammer and also hitting the nut on to push the bolt back in. Any other ideas? PB was applied. Not sure I want to put heat with the intake off the head.

Take the 12mm nut on the top all the way off, then remove the 14mm bolt that holds the top bracket on. From here, get a long prybar, jack handle, or cheater bar of some sort and try to wiggle the alternator back and forth. See if you can break it free enough to move.

I have and it's still not moving. Everything is off it just won't budge. Very frustrating. That lower bolt doesn't go through so I don't think hammering on that would do much either other than screw the threads up.

had one seize so badly on a 95 integra that i actually had to cut it off. it being the alternator. was not a happy day. try getting under the car, putting some 2x4 against the alternator from behind, and beating the **** out of it towards the front of the car. if not, prepare to cut.

Oh man I hope not. I've already slammed it pretty good with a hammer and 2x4. Almost tempted to try and slip the timing belt off just to get the new head on and get it running
