Alternatives to Rolling Fenders
What are they? I only need to do the rear, here are my ideas...
1) Cut slits into the lip on the rear fenders and then bend the tabs up.
2) Take an angle grinder and just grind the lips done so they dont stick out as far
What did you guys do? I'm just worried because of the spot welds making it complicated...

Cutting and grinding promotes rust.
Roll the fenders. If you do it properly, it won't affect the paint and won't require painting afterwards.

Well they already need to be painted again anyway. Im just worried about screwing up the fenders by trying to roll them. The spotwelds make it a lot harder to roll.

If you grind the fenders you can't do it all the way. There is a weld there that holds the inner and outer fender together. If you grind away that weld then water and salt will get in there and make a mess of it. Also the panels will rub and leave exposed metal.
I grinded mine not to long ago but I only had a tad to take off and kept the weld intact

just roll it with a bat... i was worried at first, but it turned out just fine.
it takes a while, be patient, the fender doesnt go up immediately... each side took me like a good 45 mins to get perfect.
yes, paint did crack, and yes i did use a heatgun. no big deal, just shoot a coat of rustoelum on the inside fender lining and youre good to go!

i generally think modifying ones fenders/quarter panels is a bad idea, but if you feel compelled to do it, roll the lip.

ok well here are your options if you dont wanna roll.
a) get new wheels with a different offset, run smaller tires
b) raise the car
you pick.
imo rollings the best option out there at the moment.
