Default Alternative to SAFC??

I'm looking for a cheap way to mess with my fuel at specific points in my set up, and I have looked into the Apexi SAFC...but I keep finding the new "improved" ones for 300 and up......

and I can't find a good deal on the old version of it......do I have any alternatives....??

My set up is not that complicated...but I'd like to be able to mess with fuel since my ecu is chipped and it dumps too much fuel in certain spots.....plus I will be getting cam gears and cams down the road........any help would be great....

What about a VAFC? You find those all over the classifieds for 200 bucks. Also isnt the difference between SAFC and VAFC the boost controller? Other then that its exactly the same?

Do your self a favor and save your money untill you get all your parts and have the chip reflashed. Or by a stand alone and bigger injectors.

wtf?? stand alone?? for basic i/h/e...

Its a ZC no one really can reflash my chip correctly...its OBD1... I need a p29 program.....a b18b chip is good....stock.....lean out the fuel a bit...and your set...my b18b chip is flashed for bolt on's included cams etc etc etc.....I want to use the SAFC as a true tach and what not.....and mess with the fuel myself, then get it tunned when I get my cams and cam gears.......and new head gasket....

I do't need a standalone...my car made 123whp....C"MON!! haha

I'm just looking for midrange for road courses......and a fuel controller will help me out......

Can I use a VAFC with a non vtec motor?? my buddy has one he might wanna sell me and I'm not sure if they are the same with the VAFC having the Vtec control funcion...

if you go to inlinefour.com, or ebay, a fields vtec controller will allow you to adjust fuel curves in 100 rpm increments. as well as the vafc from apex. the vtec funcion is not an isue as long as you set your fuel curves right along the entire rpm band.

since your running non VTEC try to get the SAFC because that works better. VAFC is better for VTEC apps. Since you have a really small set up (not many parts) just look around the recycler, classified, etc for a SAFC.
