Default already searched, rear tire wobble.

ive got a 93 Si hatch, and just recently i put on some steelies from a 01 coupe for the winter. for some reason the rear tires are now wobbling like theyve got bad toe. i dont know if its my spindle or hub thats off center, or maybe the rims are bent. anything to look for or any advice on what i should do. thanks for the help.

Swap the tires with ones that are not wobbling.
If it still wobbles after the swap your rims most likey are not bent and something on your suspension is. Or you have 4 f-ed up rims.
If its wobbling enough for you to see it may be a searious problem so get on it before something bad happens.

how do you tell if it's wobbling anyway, when you are driving?

Right it could be numerous other things if it something you feel while driving.
tire ballance alignment, bad shock, or if its while you are braking it could be warped rotors.

You said that you put them on for the winter? There could be a bunch of snow stuck in them throwing your wheels off ballance.

Not to steal anything from the actual thread, but I have a similar problem going on as well. I curbed my rear wheel face right against a sidewalk dodging an animal. What could be wrong with the rear suspension of the car? I have been through three different sets of wheels and tires already. I can't feel the difference but I can hear the wheel in the car so I know the right isn't as smooth as it could be.

To the original poster, you might first want to try another set of wheels to determine if it's the set or the car.

Have you had snow recently? Or gotten stuck in the snow?

I know it may be a stretch but mine was doing the same thing. I went to the carwash, and sprayed the entire thing down, under the car, and in the fender wells, everywhere. Got all that snow and ice off. Rode straight again.

if its cold where u live, i might have a possible idea.
-my shop teacher said he had a car that was doing that, so he went over everything, and he finally decided to take the tire if the rim and water came out.
- so maybe theres water frozen inside your tire.
just a guess

we took the wheel assembly apart today. what it was were the old wheel shims that were put inside the rims when the car was track racing this summer. apparently they were cheap *** plastic and had finally started to warp from the okward weather going hot then cold over and over as well as the pressure that was put on the during cornering. i popped em off and the wheels straightened right up. thanks for all the help guys.

Sadly, I doubt my issue will be resolved that way
