Default Already ran a search, idle goes crazy at every stoplight

So yea, my eg, w/ b16a swap when idling loops... the rev's go from 1000 to 2000 rpm and drop back down over and over, looked all over the engine bay and could not find any vaccum leaks, after the car warms up the problem persists, however once in a blue moon my car would be normal and idle right around 1000 consistently at a stop.. anyone know why? its shaking my dash like crazy revving up and down

BTW its a hydro tranny and i'm running a 94 gsr ecu (came with car)

with the gsr ecu you would throw a code for the secondaries - as for the rev sounds like the fast idle valve needs work

they dont throw a code when not connected, just dont work

and i would pull the IACV off and clean it. do NOT use the screw on the throttle body to adjust the idle. it is not the "proper" way to adjust idle. the idle shouldnt need adjustment. the screw is masking another problem and possibly creating more. using the screw can change the working voltage of the TPS, wich can cause a ton more problems than just a bouncy idle.

i have gone through this with my b16
-change the computer first, just borrow one to see if thats the problem.
-check the intake manifold gasket
-vacuum leaks
-bleed the coolant
-check throttle cable tension
-check the idle adjustment screw

these are a few things you can check, put them in order from easiest to hardest or least expensive to most expensive to make it easier for u

Check the base idle. Warm it up then disconnect the IAC. It should idle at 600-750 RPM. If not using the idle spped screw (top rear of throttle body looking from the passenger side. Recooonect the IAC, reset the ECU. If the base idle to too high it will lope between proper idle spped and 1200-1500 RPM. Goof luck!
