Almost done with 5 lug on my EM1......7/8 MC good or do I need the 1in?
Just as the title says, I just realized that I dont have the 1in master in my 00 EM1. Any major issues with this and having a OEM calipers? I mean I can get a bigger one eventually but is there any true detriment running the 7/8 as opposed to the 1in?

I'm using my stock MC on 98hb.its been fine for now and its been 10 months.so I think u should be fine with ur stock one.

The 7/8" MC was barely enough for the 10.3" fronts, IMHO. I've owned 2 Civics with 10.3" fronts and 7/8" master cylinders, and the pedal feel was just acceptable (I prefer a firm, short pedal). Since you're swapping to 11.1" fronts with the larger 17CL15VN calipers, I would suggest upgrading to a 15/16" or 1" master cylinder to maintain a pedal feel similar to stock. All of the cars with 17CL15VN calipers from the factory were also equipped with a 1" master cylinder by Honda AFAIK.
If you want a slightly longer pedal than stock to aid in modulation (since you don't have ABS), keep your 7/8" piece.

VEry interesting, and it does make sense that having more pedal to play with would be better for modulation. My question though is how soft will it really be? Another thing, don't the 92 Accord wagons have a 1 1/8in master?

I'm running Integra fronts with a 13/15" MC, and it acceptable, but also soft. I plan to get a 15/16" MC as soon as I get money.
98+ 1" Integra MC will bolt up to the Si BB. You won't have to bend lines either.

I'm not sure. I'll have to take a peek next time a CB9 comes into the junkyard. It won't bolt up to your booster though, and will require some hard line fabrication.

So think of it like a stock clutch as opposed to a HD pressure plate. As long as all the braking is still there and I get more variablity in the pedal that might not be so bad. What do the new 1in MC go forthrough Honda?

I have probably done a combination of almost all the boosters/mc that fit in the ek. The stock master will work, the pedal will just be a little lower than stock. A 98+ teg mc will fit your stock booster and you will regain all of the lost travel, however I have noticed that on teg brakes with the stock booster and 1" mc the booster will run out of travel. You may not run into that problem with the 11" brakes though. I say don't worry about the mc until after you try it out. If you want the pedal higher buy the 1"er
