Default all motor or turbo gsr in a 96 hatch

alright in like a month or so i will have around $1000 saved up to do the motor in my hatch its a 96 ek with a gsr in it. the motor has around 96000 on it and it is smokin and buring some oil so i figured it was time to build it. i was wondering what the best setup would be to go all motor or turbo it.. ive heard different things i was wondering on your guys imput to see what i should do and some suggestions on either the turbo setup or the motor setup brand wise.. and what i should do

Is it your DD? How many miles do you drive it everyday? Do you sit in stop and go traffic all of the time?

Are you happy with the power that you have righ tnow?

If you want to go cheap pick up a set of ITR pistons and rings and have the motor rebuilt.. Will be fun enough to drive compared to what you have now..

Go with a mild N/A setup and focus on the suspension/brakes. That's what I would do.

Just for your own information, there are plenty of people here who have pieced together their own turbo kits for under a grand. I myself pieced mine together for $650, fairly inexpensive.

With the grand though i'd say definetely rebuild, can't do much with an unhealthy motor in the first place.

Personally, I would save the money for a house; but that's just me. I'm more impressed by all motor cars, as opposed to boosted ones.

yeah thanks im prob going all motor then we will see what happens i already have drilled and slotted all around (gsr disk brake converison in the rear) and sprint springs so its dropped 2.5 and have full strutbars and tie bars and control arms and camber kit so im good on the suspension im lookin to put some money on the motor cause it needs to be rebuilt soon so itr pistons are the best out there for the money and what kida cams would you recomend on the gsr thatnks
