all motor build questions
Well my mind is pretty much made up, i'm goin to go with the b18c1. I'm goin to rebuild the bottom and head so it really didn't make any sense to buy the type r. i was wandering if investing in a stroker kit to make the 1.8L to a 2.0L is worth it. Is boring out the walls to 84mm is a good idea, and can i run a stroker kit with a larger piston size? I was just wandering, because if i do this, would it just be easyer to get a h22 and build that...... thanks, danny

The B18C5 is a better platform for all-motor and you can sell the parts you change out for enough money to cover the material costs of upgrading.
My advice: B18C (JDM Type-R), Honda Saver "JUN Killer" cams and head package (springs/retainers/valves/P&P), 12.5:1 CR Arias/JE pistons, Eagle rods, Hondata S200 tuning, LSD Type-R tranny with DSS Stage 2 axles, I/H/E/MSD/cat/Performer-X intake manifold.
Bam!

Stroker kit? Nah the factory stroke is fine. You can't bore the stock sleeves past 82mm. You can resleeve to 84.5mm 2.0L motor, 12:1 compression and some Skunk2 stage 2's with head work and valve train. Give ya plenty of power. Don't forget a good header, intake manifold all the bolt ons of course and tuning.
