All motor b18b
well im in the process of building my b18b engine all motor, i get high compression pistons and rings, and im getting good cams,
any suggestions for what cams to get for a quick vtec killer?
and what else could i do to run an all motor car besides pistons and cams?
thanks.

are you running a vtec head? you will need to build your head for aftermarket cams as well. look into intake manifolds, a good header, port and polished head, port matched TB and IM, there are tons of things. whats your budget?

400 for cams? hmm hard to find. look into some blox cams or hit up the marketplace and try to find a set of used ones with cams gears. you will want them. you will built the head with springs retainers and all that correct?

vtec= more air and more fuel which = power. if non vtec motors were capable of being fast w/o FI, then swaps would be way cheaper and easier to come by. also less cars would be stolen. haha

You gotta get ti retainers and dual springs might as well do flat valves and you still gotta tune it.
And you'll lose your street driveability if uou go to wild o' cams
Go lsv

F all the comments here.
Go LS All Motor, everyone has vtec , that's all they know.
Soooo much more respect too go against the grain , they've had a few 200hp LS builds on here.

yea I understand wanting to be different, trust me. I have a Built D on boost, not that many people actually go that route. But the thing is that a fully built LS might make 200HP, but is that going to be streetable? You are going to need some very heavy cams to make that power. Therefore its going to idle like a race car and get no gas mileage. There was a reason that Honda made VTEC. Purposely not using it is a little bit like slapping the engineers in the face. And it really wont be a VTEC killer regardless, i mean fully built you would be able to take stock B16's and GSR's. But any mildly built LS/VTEC or B20/VTEC will eat you.

I heard somewhere that if you plan on building the head, then vtec doesn't make too much of a difference. OP, get some more money into your cams. They are crucial for all motor builds. I have a buddy that bought some Bisimoto cams and he made great power all the way to 11,500 rpm. His tuner didn't want to go past that with his flow charts being the way they were. He was running boost too though. Great cams!

Re: All motor b18b
Are you sure stock for stock, the lsv makes more power????
Althougj gsr would be ideal, we're talking about working with what you already have so... If uou really wanna go allmotor go for it.
But like someone else also postes your gonna lose street driveability just to beat mild gsrs
Ie really rough idle, low gas mileage, you probably wont run pump gas
