? to all I need some advice
I have a 93 del sol i just bought a few months back i paid 2600 for it has damage to the front 2 fenders. I have the parts to fix the damage. The top has been leaking for a while now i've just been putting off fixing it. I went to honda and asked about getting the pieces i need. Well they had problems with the tops so they sell a kit to replace the old weatherstripping. Well, the kit is 500 bucks which sucked , but i was gonna pay it ne way i like the car always wanted one. Then i find out there is 23 pages of instruction to replace it . Honda sent there guys to school for two days to learn how to do it and not mess it up. it calls for 10 hours our local honda is 54 bucks an hour. well, over 1,000 dollars later i wont have a leak, but i'm not sure it's work it. after all it's just a si so it's got a d16z6 i planed on doing a turbo gsr, i mainly just wanted the shell. 2600 is not alot and i can still do my swap plus cheap on insurance. if it was your car would u fix it or just sell it and do ur project in a different car??

IF YOU HAVEN'T BOUGHT THE PARTS YET, HAVE YOUR LOCAL DEALER DO A WATER LEAK DIAG, WHICH USUALLY COSTS ABOUT AN HOUR WORTH OF LABOR, THIS COULD SAVE YOU SOME MONEY IN THE LONG RUN

no i havent bought it yet i'm waiting to see what i really want to do 1000 is alot. As far as check for the leak. the local shop said to call the leak dr. to find out for sure. over the past months the leak as gotten worse. from a small drip here and there to a swimming pool in my drivers seat. i was planning on doing it my self ,but the 23 pages of instructions seemed a lil intimidating. i was just going to let them do it for the simple fact if i mess the seal up some how i'm out 500 bucks...has ne one removed the seal ? i'm going monday and print out the instructions and see what it looks like 1,000 on rubber is hard to swallow...
