If I have a radiator cap for a Civic, could I use it for a Integra? I need a radiator cap for a '95 Integra and I only have a Honda dealer near me, no Acuras.

As far as I know they are all the same. But since Acura is part of the Honda Motor Company, the Honda dealer should certainly be able to get it.

No and no. There are a number of different pressure levels. I think for civics, it's a 1.1 or 1.3... I don't remember what tegs are. My friends prelude is a .9.

Also, honda has to pay to be a part of acura. The honda place i go to can't get acura parts.

hmm, somehow that sounds a little odd. My understanding was that Acura was a division of Honda, kinda like how Mercury is a division of Ford or Lexus is part of Toyota...

as mentioned, no they are not the same different pressure for different engines.

Okay well I checked and the Integra's radiator cap is rated at 1.1 bar. And I know Civics are rated at 1.1 bar as well. Would I still not be okay with using a Honda Civic radiator cap on this Integra?

And Honda does not pay to be a part of Acura. Acura is the luxury division of Honda, its mainly in the USA, but its HQ is in Japan just as Honda's is. But it is owned by Honda.

i used the 2003 civic radiator cap on my 1994 integra rs and it works fine. had it on for a year now.

Source of your info? The only reason that dealer can't is because they don't have an Acura dealership in their family of dealerships. Honda and Acura part number's aren't cataloged together.

Surprised that no one mentioned this... some Honda caps aren't even the same fitment. For example, the 88-91 Civic radiator cap is completely different from the 92-95 Civic one

Lots of them are the same exact cap, just gotta look up the info on them to find out

x2 on the different pressure i think honda is under like 10 psi or something like that my mishimoto radiator's cap is under 18
