To all the EK hybrid owners
I need some help on the exhuast/header fitment. I have a 00 civic hatch and just bought my jdm b18c R motor. What year and model should I purchse the header manifold and exhuast? Im planning on purchasing greddy sp exhuast for 96-00 hatch, 96-00 civic coupe cat, and what headers (year and model)? Need 2 o2 sensors also. I want a perfect fit with no cutting or welding cause the exhuast to expensive to cut it. Help me out. If theres no perfect fitment, I guess es oval muffler and mineke will be my pal. Thanks'

you need a header for a b18c motor, Integra 98+, 98+ so the header will have an oxygen sensor bung already installed, and the exhaust should as well since it's made for 96-00 hatches... not sure how the fitment will be... may need an exhaust shop's assistance.

can I run a 99-00 b16 header for extra o2 plug or will that header be too long and make a direct fit to my exhuast? I need a cat to be in the middle for smog inspection.

you can just run your JDM 4-1 with the 2.5 inch collecter for the time being. Toda is great, AN-R, smsp, theres alot out there that will fit. Nothing is just gonna bolt up perfect 100%. I say rock the JDM 4-1 for a bit wait tell ya get some more power and go AN-R or SMSP.

OK to clerify any confusion, What headers, cat, and exhuast are you running on your ek hybrid OWNERS only. Im sure that toda, an-r and others are great headers but thats not the answer im looking for. The question is, what will be best fitment for me, I dont want 2.5 in collector cause I dont want to deal with the cutting and welding on the cat.

Re: To all the EK hybrid owners (DrMartin)
for a b16 header some people say it wont fit because the b18 motor is longer cause of the stroke, but the other day i saw a tread on how someone used a b16 header on a b18 motor and by the pics of it the header was touching the oil pan or really close to touching...... as for my setup i just used my invidia piping, carsound cat with 2.5 collector with welded flanges and a o2 bung hole with a dc jdm 2.5 in collector header. i have two o2 sensors with obd2 throwing no codes.

Try to find a header off of a 99'-00' Si thats what I need. I have a B20 VTEC swap and I'm running open header for now until I go to a muffler shop to get my exhaust welded back together or find a Si header and bolt them back together.

You need to run a 92-95 cat back and a B18 header, then you your cat should be the right length. The header needs an 02 bung and the cat needs one as well.

Re: To all the EK hybrid owners (spnfed)
ok this is the thing. I have stock exhuast now for my d16. I used to have an exhuast and sold it. What I did back then was, I purchase a 92-95 civic hatch exhuast (racing medellion), 96+ coupe random tech cat for secondary o2 hole, and 92-95 civic hatch header. Here was the problem occur, It was short about 2 inches or so, so I took it to the muffler place and they added an extra piece to it. Second problem was the exhuast, the middle where it had hangers, 92-95 civic and integras had both hangers where as to 96+ hatch had only 1 hanger in the middle of the car. So therefore, My exhuast was basically dangling in the middle, so the muffler shop had to custom a second hanger just to hold it, but it was still low and scratch the piping big time. So I sold it. I now bought me a R motor and Im gonna run into the exhuast problem again and dont wanna deal with this crap. so i figure what are your setup. I know its a bit confusing but if its to hard, I may just tell the muffler shop to make me a 2.25 inch pipe all the way and my be a ES oval muffler. I rather much have an exhuast.

b16 header...any coupe cat with an o2 bung and a 92-95 si hatchback cat back, fits perfect!

jus use the jdm itr headers, 99-00 si cat, and customize ur exhaust (cheaper and sure fitment)
if u get the ek hatch exhasut it will not bolt up to where the cat is. and if u get the si exhaust the axelback part will not fit.

Re: To all the EK hybrid owners (DrMartin)
The solution I used was, JDM ITR 4-1, SMSP Carsound Cat (17"?) w/ Secondary O2 bung, Apex-i WS catback, b-pipe trimmed about the length of the Cat, for 96-00 Civic DX Hatchback.
If you could get an axleback for a hatch and a b-pipe from the same exhaust manufacturer for a 96-00 EX or SI, you MAY not have to cut (not 100% sure, I don't know the stock cat length).
How are you some of you guys using stock Cats w/ JDM ITR 4-1? I didn't think any stock Cat had a 2.5" inlet to fit the JDM ITR 4-1.

if you want to run with a cat you have to cut the exhaust. other than that the header and exhaust will meet up at the flange w/no cat.
