Only thing is buy a DOHC.
The Other cam in the DOHC controlls the exhaust ports, which is why you hear it more.
The VTEC on the SOHC only controlls the intake ports.

Yeah if you want the immediate scream...get a B-series...not happening with a SOHC

why does the sound matter? turbo whine makes your car sound like a semi and go faster, thats what i did and now vtec is the least of my concerns

i think you're mistaking v-tec from the sound of the intake, it might be hard to distinguish with a short ram

It's nice to see that no one has picked on anyone for typing v-tec instead of vtec. This is proof that given the right setting, we can still be civil on H-T! sorry, OT.

They advertised on their web site (JUN) about making a D series cam.

Ive seen a ghetto system where you could rig a speaker in the engine bay to produce a BOV sound so you might be able to do something like that

VTEC is only on the intake cam...it doesn't have anything to do with the exhaust cam. My single cam VTEC roars when my speedo works right.

DOHC VTEC uses intake and exhaust lobes in VTEC...

Wrong you are! The only honda vehicle with VTEC on the exhaust cam is the NSX if I'm not mistaken! Do some research buddrow...Look at the exhaust cam of an B series VTEC and see if you see the holes in the lobes...I'll go ahead and tell you...you won't see them...
