Are all D Series Starters the same???
SEARCHED:
Are all Manual (5spd) D-series starters compatible, no matter what OBD you are? Been getting mixed feedback, thought i would get it cleared up once and for all.
I have an EF and EG manual starter next to eachother, and they look the same to me.
Thanks in advance and any info is appreciated

I've actually seen 3 different starters, but I think they're by countries. In the US, all the SOHC 5spd starters I've gone through looked the same.

To my understanding those starters are different.

I would think that all d series starters are interchangeable, only reason why i would disbelieve is because the 88-91 model d series motors may have a different number of teeth on the flywheel.. but as far as 92-95 d-series starters.. I'm almost 99.9% sure they're all interchangeable.
