All 92-95 antennas retract to the antenna plate?
Does the antenna on a 95 Vx go all the way down to the plate? Mine sticks out about 10" and does not want to retract anymore
I know my 93 Cx went all the down to the plate

Yea they all should go all the way down. Put some silicone on a rag, pull the antenna out and wipe it down. It should slide all the way down.

It's the largest part (base) of the antenna right? The rest retract. About 10" that sticks out?
I'm going to look at it again when I get home. I've got to either get it flush or remove the damn thing

Yeah like the piece that is "thicker" doesn't budge.

if it was bent even slightly during it's life it will stick. REALLY sucks, mine stuck out about 3 inches on the larger part and I couldn't pull it out or push it in.
I ripped out the antena and welded the hole shut when I repainted, no more problem.

Re: (dohcdelsol)
I don't see anyway the antenna can retract any further then we speak of. Has anyone successfully removed the antenna from the plate / swapped in an antenna that retracts completely?

Re: (Hybrid93Hatch)
Up because I would like to replace the antenna with a block off plate
Is the antenna held in place behind the A-pilar?

I have a 93 si hatch, a 95 si hatch and a 92 cx hatch and all three antenas go all the way down. I think yours must be bent or is stuck because of grime try some silicone spray and twist it.
