If you're going to modify the appearance first you're going to get the beatdown anytime anyone with a moderately fast car pulls up beside you. I know appearance is more immediately satisfying, but for $4000 you could get an engine swap and surprise the hell out of your friends in their 'faster' cars....

screw the looks. for four grand you can do a swap and still have money left for suspension and wheels (cheap ones). besides nothing looks better than speed.

it's not even an aesthetic thing. from a practical viewpoint a body kit is a bad idea. I don't want to sound condescending, but you are still a relatively new driver. you're probably gonna curb that nice body kit the first time you park it or go over a speed bump or exit a steep driveway. hell, I'm 25 and I'm sure I'd rip apart a body kit in a week, or be so paranoid I'd start driving like grandma. where's the fun in that? save your money for the internals. your friends might think a body kit and gigantic wing looks cool, but they'll respect you when you spank their a**es at every stop light.

I still think you can get the whole swap with suspension wheels and tires within your budget. your best bet is to talk with the speed shops in your area. they'll tell you exactly what you want to know.

as for the wing: why do you want all that downforce at the rear of a front wheel drive car?

sorry for the lecture. but we gotta start raising these kids right.

donot get the wing, do not get the body kit, DO get the swap done! but, if your style is more into looks, go ahead and buy the wing and the body kit. and youll be another statistic added to our kill list! bye bye

LOL!

Sorry, I liked that bit...

Anyway, some HELPFUL advice... the profiles on the GSR cams are the same as on the B16A cams. So DO NOT swap one into the other; they are entirely the same! It would be a waste of time. Instead, use a Civic Type R intake cam and an Integra Type R exhaust cam. Pick yourself up a set of adjustable cam sprockets (anyone except AEM, basically) and spend some time on a dyno. If you can't pick up 20hp from that, then something's seriously wrong...

In all seriousness, though, I wouldn't bother with cams and tuning if you're just getting started. Doing a motor swap will be MORE than enough power for while. Use the extra money to get intake/header/exhaust.

Dude go to the Dark Side and get BOOST. Screw the body kit **** and get adjustible coil overs, a sway bar, and strut tower bar. Your car will handle better than most of your friends cars and it'll spank them in the twisties and a straight line. So here is your shopping list, kid:

Drag Gen III turbo kit
Adjustible Coil Overs
Rear sway bar
Front Strut tower bar

Their all right, why spend money on making your car look good when you can't back it up? The problem you will have is every MF in a mustang or camaro will pull up next to you and see if you can back-up that fancy body kit. I have seen a couple of Civic coupes with the new APR wing and have been dropped that look really good. Why not go sleeper?

everyone and their mothers has a body kit and big wing on their cars... do u really want to look just like everyone else? and to be honest... the real enthusiasts look at a car... and if it has nothing to back it up they ussually laugh at it... now u may want to go that whole body kit route... but trust me... in due time... ull be putting your stock stuff back on cua u messed up the body kit so bad and then ull be slow anyway...

anyone can just slap a body kit on a car... making it fast (real fast) is a challenge... the right mix of parts, the tuning... and then the look on the face of that m3 u just **** on... thats priceless... imo there is nothing really going for the show guys... many of them do not even drive their cars and just baby them... what fun is that? u cant really drive it... u have to worry about people just touching it or messing with it... and hell... ur trying to look fast... but have nothing to back it up!

trust everyone on this board... go faster... look stock... and u WILL have much more fun...
