The shop (Big O Tires) said that my toe is off, and that's why the car pull to one side. He want to install camber kits.

Prior to this, past alignments never require it. What does toe do?

Are they correct?

Toe can be adjusted on every 1988-up stock Honda Civic.

Camber can affect toe, but to say that you need a camber kit just to get your toe in spec is retarded.

Caster, just like camber, is non-adjustable on your car. I think they're just trying to sell you something.

Just tell them to set the toe to spec and don't worry about anything else. Your car isn't lowered that much and your camber won't be *that* far out of spec. The only exception to this might be if you've hit something and bent a suspension component. In that case, you'd need to inspect for parts that needed replacement. Otherwise, the camber kit is pointless in your case. If anything, have him throw a couple washers under the rear upper control arm where it bolts to the car and it'll get the rear right.

I would seriously take the car elsewhere.

I'd take my chances with getting jjst a toe alignment, and only IF your tires still wear the insides out quicker than the rest of the tire would I even look into camber kits.

One of my cars is lowered about 1.8 inches, has no camber kit, and has -1.8 degrees of camber up front and it still wears tires perfectly even because I aligned the car myself and set the toe up front at zero and the rear at .08 (dead center toe specs from Honda).

Toe could be corrected without camber kits. Camber kits are nice to have so that your alignment could be perfect.

im about to get my car alligned today...should i tell them b18c5-eh2, should i tell them that i want my toe in the front at 0 and the back at 0.8 or woudl they already know that cause i heard its a reputable place that alot of dealers take it too and they do alot of lowered cars?

also i heard if you camber is less then -2 degrees ur not to bad?

Yeah they should know the specs there too.

As far as the negative camber goes, i'd say you're safe up front with anything above -2 meaning -2 to 0 degress of negative camber as long as the toe is set perfect.
