Alignment in Atlanta
Need some help finding someone to do an Alignment in the DD and on my baby. I am scared to take it anywhere because the Dealer ship people are retards which cannot do the alignment right on the DD which is a 2003 Accord.
Kauffman Tires screwed me with some BS about not rotating the tires and wrong speed rating when the tires show toe wear and nothing else. Never had a problem before when I was in Miami as there are many reputable shops that can do a quality alignment but Atlanta is new terriority for me.
Need to find some place that knows what their doing instead of screwing me like Kauffman tire.
Let's see if anyone can help on this.

People can be retards, that is unavoidable. Find a shop that has a quality alignment machine, like a newer model Hunter that prints out before and after sheets with all the angles, that way you know what your getting. The machine is all that matters, you can prove the incompetence by having a printout.
It would pay to give your car a once over for any obvious damage, bad strut plates or bushings most notably can still cause tire wear. Most 88-00 Honda's have a large bushing in the rear which is prone to tearing, and if you want the alignment to last it would have to be replaced. If not, the thrust line will be off, causing the tire to scrub one direction in the back, and the opposite in the front. (dog tracks) If it is out of alignment, something is causing it. Is the car lower? Wider tires? Potholes? Overloading? Speed rating will affect the tread life and make an alignment issue easier to spot because the tire wears much faster.
Please describe the type of wear you have, inside, outside, or center wear, cupping, or wiping of the tires and the direction of the wipe/cup. Make sure you inspect all four. Still gotta ask, but make sure they are fully inflated.

Re: Alignment in Atlanta (slowcivic2k)
The wear that I have is feather edge on the inside of the tire. The DD is not lowered and it's 100% stock. The only thing changed on it is that I put a T rating tire on it which is standard on 4 cyl Accords and the 6 calls for higher rating.
I was not about to dish out an extra $200 for performance tires when I use the car to go to work and back so the idiot at Kauffman said that was the main reason.
When the car is rolling the noise is loud which can be caused by the Toyo tires but the tires have that feather edge to them all around and they have being rotated. Regards less rotating or not rotating it is not a factor as I never rotate the tires on my Z3 due to the fact that it has offset sizes and it does not have any problems nor does my Civic. Only on this Accord it does that and that is after the tires were originally purchased from this crappy place. New Tires and alignment were done at the same time by them.
I just hate it when people at these local shops trying to cheat your money and pretend they know their ****. I could only imagine how many people this Kauffman tire place has ripped off but I refuse to be a victim.

Was it a two wheel for 4 wheel alignment, if it was only two wheels then dog tracking would be a symptom, the direction of the feather in that case is very important.
Draw what you see on a piece of paper, of your on the passengers side, and the feathering on the front tire is directed outward, and the rear is inward, then you have a thrust line problem, and they probably did a two wheel alignment. The depth of the feather can help indicate severity of the alignment, or crappyness of the tires.

If they are all inward or outward, then you have a toe problem.

The problem with these places is they will only do what is reasonably necessary, each part has spec on it, and on the rack, if its green, it usually doesn't get touched.
If spec on your car for camber is -1 Degree +/- .75 Degrees, your left could be -.25 and the right -1.75, but it will pull to the left, the tires will show wear, but its still in spec.

Re: Alignment in Atlanta (dteng)
We Todd is down for some reason so I can't upload a pic but I will take the car there next weekend to that Honda specialist and see what the doctor says.
The tires are definitely.

I know for sure they put too much toe just so that it eats up the tires faster. Kauffman here in Smyrna is no better then Jiffy Lube. It should be closed down.
Kauffman Tire = Jiffy Lube
