Probably won't ruin the shocks but you will notice the incorrect toe settings wearing at your front tires more easily.

if you're saving for a camber kit, get it soon and get the alignment done soon as well cause toe is what really causes severe tire wear.

Yep, get it done... even if you don't have the camber kit to install, unless you're getting it within the next week or so, I would do it. I took my wheels off my car the other day to clean the rims and paint the calipers black, and my tires were really worn on the inside edge on the front. I've only had it dropped for about 2 months now and it wore the inside edges on my front tires completely bald.

I rotated my rears to the front for a temporary solution, but i'll be going in as soon as I can next week to get an alignment so I don't ruin the other tires as well.

if u lower d ur car no more than 1 1/2 inchs ..i dont think ull need a camber kits...a little negative camber is good for cornering performance...the trade off of a little more wear on the tires vs. improve d performance would be worth it..just as long as ur with 1 degree of specs. ..u should be ok with just a good alignment

A camber kit does not affect the life of you shocks. The amount of lowering and the spring rates on your lowering springs do. If you're getting new tires anyways and don't care about it, then take your time.
