Alarm Questions Reliability related
Ok, back in the day when I used to be an installer (6 years ago or so) Clifford was the best thing to have. I put a Saber @ in my wife's CRX, with a couple of battery back up sirens, and door and hood deadbolts as well. Then about 2-3 years ago, I bought another Clifford for my car I bought a concept 100. Ever since installing the concept 100 alarm I have had absolutely nothing but problems. The alarm will sometimes not arm/disarm and I have to open the door with a key and use the valet switch with the valet code. I wondered if it was a remote related problem. I got a new remote from my dealer, and it didn't seem to help at all. So my question is this. Has anyone else had an reliability with newer Clifford product, or is mine a simple fluke? If I get a resounding answer from you folks that the newer clifford stuff is Ok, I won't have a problem buying a new one, and accepting that my concept was just a bad apple. Or if you think the newer Clifford isn't the Clifford of days gone by, then what's the new "best thing"?
