alarm question?
Alright guys..here goes. I bought my car (93 si) from this guy 2 years ago. The car came with a alpine alarm. The alarm will work if the dome light inside the car is in the middle. You know how the switch has on, the middle, and then off? well..for the alarm to work..the switch has to be in the middle. If the switch is on, or in the off position..the alarm will still activiate , but will go off automatically in 20 seconds. Recenlty my dome light (interrior light) stopped working. its not the bulb..because I checked it. Its not the fuse..because its still good. I dont know why the dome light doesnt work..but thats not the point. I can honestly do without it, but now I cannot activiate my alarm because it will go off every 20 seconds. Have you guys ever heard a situation like mine? Have any advice in what I should do to get my alarm working again? Thanks guys in advance.
p.s. the guy i bought it from left the state..so there is no way I can contact him.

Re: alarm question? (WongFeihung)
I ask because I have that model Alpine alarm and it stopped working in some ways. It happened after my battery completely died one day. I replaced the brain (for $10 on ebay) and it's all good now.

Yeah I have a similar problem. I have a Clifford branded alarm and it'll go off every so many seconds too. I eventually stopped using the alarm. Well stopped arming it actually.
