Re: air suspension in del Sol (Happyman)
This is not going to give you a "performance" ride. It may be more comfortable than the stock suspension (and for sure a stiffer suspension), but you will compromise your handling some.
Airbags are for show. If that's what you're into, that's cool. Not my bag, baby, but hey, each to his own.
Just a little FYI in case you weren't aware.

Airbags are for show, and Honda-Tech isn't really about show cars...
Hey man as Steve said, airbags are for show and for the "bling bling" factor of being able to make the car go up and down at redlights and show off, etc.
I hate to say it but I don't think you're going to find anything you're looking for about airbags here.
Every airbag-equipped car I've seen sucked. The cheap-*** pumps used in the kits I saw were always fouling up, and we could not even get the damn cars on the rack without hooking up the shop's air up to the airbags - what's the point?
I'm sure it's like most things - you get what you pay for. I'm sure the hella-expensive airbag kits serve their purpose, but spend so much money on something that useless?
To each his/her own is fine, but I don't go to all-show boards trying to ask which cams are the best for my motor. In other words if it's airbag Q's you have take it to the appearance forum first (which will still probably not yield much) or try another MB like Super honda or Club Si.

I agree like everyone else so far that AIRBAGS aren't for performance....and definitely not my cup of joe....but price wise you are looking at 2k-3k....i'd suggest not to do it unless you are just mainly doing show for your car...
B18C5-EH2...kinda agree with you...I'm a newbie but some of these Del Sol guys do start up some stupid threads....oh well....

Talk about the perfect way to ruin an otherwise perfect suspension.

Re: air suspension in del Sol (Happyman)
i used to have air rods on a 97ex... it was cool for a few weeks.
down falls to air ride
1. if you have a lot of people in your car it sucks. Not enough pressure to push you up. it still works but it is much slower.
2.for a good kit it is a lot of money. most cheap kits come w/ 3/8 lines which are slow. i had 1/2 lines which are
3.if you hit a lot of switches when you are driving your tanks are always filling. since their is limited room in your trunk you can not fit any real big tanks. i had two 3gal tanks. which was ok......still they were always filling (killed my car battery quick)
4. it seemed like i always had leaks. which sucks. due to the pressure(about 150 or 160 psi) some air will push out. so hitting pot holes and stuff you are constantly hitting it up. not big leaks just little grad. leaks
5. also it is not good to ride all the way slammed or lock up. it is not good for the air rods. since they are generaly a 4' lift it does not give you a lot of room to work with.
my friend had bags too... it is real fun for a couple of months then just gets old. it seems like you are always working on them. thats what i thought at least.
hope this helped......
I sold the bags and the car. I bought a 93cx and put a b18c in it w/ a itr tranny. a lot more fun.

This wasn't a stupid thread. I am expanding my knowledge and options. That is why I asked.
