Air Intake !?!
I know what you guys gonna say. "Search", and your gonna say, "yet again another intake posting." because thats all i really foudn when I searched.
This is a quick question, everyone is recommending AEM apparently. But, Im staying stock, and I want to just get something cheap (to be honest). You get what you pay for, but money over performance because I am not even going as far as any exhaust upgrades. Here is a link to the dirt cheap crap over at ebay: http://search.ebay.com/civic-i...omZR8 I mean there like, 40 bucks total, but will they give me ANY difference in power? The real deals only give you like 5-10 horses, polished and chromed. So, anybody think its worth just for shitss? Thanks! https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif |
Re: Air Intake !?! (jaycapz)
just get it. its cheap. an intake is an intake.
|
i have an ebay intake, it works fine! just make sure its the 3 inch piping. and you might want to change the airfilter with a k&n or sumthin
|
Re: Air Intake !?! (jaycapz)
Well I had an Ebay intake on my DX Hatch
Once I switched to a name brand I felt a difference..leave it at that... You will still gain over the stock unit no doubt about that |

Yea, very good idea. Because that pipe itself is $100.00. So it would take like, $50 bucks off the top just doing it that way. I always thought it would be up to the filter flow. |
Re: Air Intake !?! (jaycapz)
Its not going to make any difference, all it will do is make more noise.

Re: Air Intake !?! (Revolver)
Cheapest way is probably a ebay pipe with the stock airbox and a k&n drop in filter. A lot of people are starting to run this.
|
Re: Air Intake !?! (Revolver)
Actually,I was just thinking. Would it make any sense to just get the k&n stock replacement filter? Or would the pipe'in help drop heat --> cooler air --> more power? Or just go with the pipe and cone filter.
Also, is anybody know how good the bomz air intakes are? same shyt as the other low grades? |
Re: Air Intake !?! (jaycapz)
It would help a little to have the drop-in. The problem with the stock pipe is the diameter and the inside isn't smooth.
Bomz is the same crap as everything else. |
Re: Air Intake !?! (jolt-tsp)
Ok, so then its solved. Im going to by one of these cheep O pipes and polish the crap outta it and plug it in! haha.

I'd suggest you get one that fits your Intake Manifold - Or is made for your engine. |
