air gettin to my brake lines
hey,
I recently chenged my master cylinder on my 93 civic DX and bled my brakes a few times. After the 2nd time i bled them, the brakes wwere workin good, the pedal was tight....now after a week my pedal is spongy again, i feel air in the sytem again..im gona go over and check all my lines, mayvbe i didnt tighten a bolt or something. im pretty sure i tighten everything though.. Any one got any ideas where air could be coming from? Thanks for the help

Your car don't go fast enough to stop. Whats that 94 horse to the wheels at 2200 rpms. At that speed you can open the door and stick your foot out. There will be no air in your lines then, your stop on the dime. Just be careful of the snoops, don't want to mess those up.

Re: air gettin to my brake lines (SIMATIC)
If you bench bled the CMS properly already, try bleeding the system one more time and at night when its not gonna be driven till the next day... atleast 15 hours rest time.... and fill the resv. with fluid and leave the cap loose/off, just don't let anything other than clean air get to it. The system may gravity bleed any air out of the system but it does take a long time 15-24 hrs. good luck

have you inspected the system for leaks? I had a leak going from one of my hard lines to the prop valve. I had swapped the prop valve when doing a rear disc conversion. Luckily I had used ATE Superblue brake fluid, so the leak was easy to spot.
