How hard is it to put an A/C system into a DX hatchback that didn't come with it? Do the dash controls already have an A/C button? And does the chassis harness under the hood have the connections already? Is it difficult to run the hard lines through the firewall, is there a space for them already?

-Please, someone who's done it...help me!

Im pretty sure it can be done. If you have a 93-95 DX hatch, i know for a fact that if you didn't get AC, theres no AC button. The connections are MAYBE there. You should be able to install it if you have all the necessary parts.

AC was a dealer installed option on the EK's. So any EK with AC was no different than your EK when they left the factory.

I don't know how intensive it is to install, but I would think it involves a lot of interior dissasembly and wiring.

Not sure how hard it is but here is a link to a honda dealer with good prices if you want OEM parts, just click on catalog, type in car info, follow instructions and VOILA! ALso I have A/C installed in mine, it came factory but if you need pics or references for parts let me know ill help you out best I can.

So, if I took the car to the dealership, they could put it in pretty easy? How much do you think it would cost?

when i ordered my DX coupe in 99 it was about 1000 dollars for them to put A/C on the car O_O D: but i love it

I would buy everything and install your self, then just have a/c shop fill it and check for leaks.
