Air conditioner not cold enough?

Air conditioner not cold enough?
I have come to find out that my AC doesn't blow cold when it's blazing hot outside. In the morning it blows freezing cold but as the temperature gets hotter, it's not as cold. I have the setting at the coldest and the blower at max. Would low refrigerant cause this? I know the compressor is operating normal and doesn't cycle on and off.

ur evaporative system is not fully effective (meaning u have part air stuck in ur ac system?
Go have it fully vaccumed out, leak test, have fresh r34a added with compressor lube.
u'll be good to go.

Well considering the way an AC system works of course its not goign to blow as cold when its REALLY hot. Its also goign to be less effecient at idle than when you are at freeway speeds becuase you don't actually have any air moving over the condensor (or is it evaporator) beyond what that dinky little fan pulls in. Bear in mind that AC only removes a certian percentage of the heat from the air before it pumps it into the cabin...higher outside temp means higher air temp once its been refrigerated.

The max it drops the air to I belive is 40' colder then outside air, put a thermostate in your vent and compare it to your outside air once, and clean your ac condensor coil off as well (Looks just like a radiator). That should help your system out a bit before having it completly serviced like the one guy said, next is doing just that. You may just be low on coolant it does eventually leak out sometimes after a a few years 5+

you might also try using the recirculate position after the cars cools down a bit inside. I find not only does the blower seem to blow a bit harder, but you recool the air you've already cooled and the result is a much cooler air temp coming out of the vents.

Could be as simple as needing some freon. Happened to me. Payed $40 bucks, got it filled up, it was blazing cold air afterwards. Now if you have a leak, then it might be a line, compressor, dryer leaking. Look where it's coming from. It it squeaks, it might be your belt (loose, tight, worn), or your compressor clutch.

Well when it's hot as **** here in Hawaii and I blast my a/c I am cool as **** in my car. I don't have that feeling where like it could be colder. It's just right and it feels good. So if he's feeling uncomfortable in the heat and the a/c ain't doing it's job, something is up and it's probably a mechanical issue.

Re: Air conditioner not cold enough? (K SERIES)
I have the AC going full blast, recirculating, and I'm still sweating inside the car. I also added tint the other day and it helped a little My condenser is free of debris and the fins are not bent up so I'm getting adequate airflow through them.
Well, I did a leakdown test, and found out I have a pinhole size leak. Anyone have a high pressure ac line for sale?
Most informative AC post I've seen so far here

now that sounds goood... I never had my system vacuumed? and i just kept adding that r34a stuff to it.

Re: (jazz215)
The purpose of pulling a vacuum on your system is to remove all the air out as well as the contaminated refrigerant and pumping only freon and the adequate amount of oil.
