air conditioner don't work at idle or low rpm
First off, I have a 97 civic dx. 1.5 no-v-tec. I had a buddy from work check the system last year and he said charge level was good and that at low rpm I was developing high condenser head pressure and he thought the filter drier needed replaced. I never did fully buy the filter drier fixing that, so I just waited. Now, at low rpm the engine struggles badly if the ac is on, as the compressor kicks in & out. I was curious, can this be a water pump? I never would have thought so, but at Christmas time my girlfriend's wp went out, I replaced it and it also cured her no heat in the cab issue. Now I know, that the coolant supplies the heater core, so that is why it fixed it her issue, but the condenser is cooled by the radiator in sense dropping the head pressure, so back to question, could this possibly be wp issues or should I start looking somewhere else first? Thanks

The condenser is cooled by the radiator? News to me. The cooling system has nothing to do with the air conditioner.
Do you own a manual by any chance?
