theres only 2 things i beleive u can do. either find another stock srs wheel for your car and cut the plug off and wire it on to the new wheel, or u can cut both plugs off your car and the wheel and hard wire the wires together with male and female spade connectors liek stero shops do.. if anyone else has a better idea pleas post this becaus eim doing the same thing soon and i would liek to now what is better than that.

why don't you leave it unhooked so the airbag doesn't go off and ruin the nice steering wheel?
i'd rather just wear my seatbelt and not get smashed in the face by a bag of stale, powdery air.
airbags seem to do more harm than good so far, with my friends anyway.

thats an ignorant thing to say.
i would hard wire it up if you had to, just by pass the plug, and just use the type of wire connectors like this
that way you can still disconnect the wires if need be. Get that airbag working, you never know when you will need it.

i don't think so....
my friends ran over some guy on the highway at 60mph, the airbag fucked up their faces. seatbelts would have held them.
another friend hit a pothole and the airbags went off. burnt his face and broke a window. for nothing.
other friend hit a guard rail, airbags went off. again, don't see it being helpful.
i hit a tree at 45mph. no airbags. not a scratch on me.
i guess it depends on the accident.
i personally dont like airbags. so i choose to disconnect them.

funny thing is, the first and third i wrote about, happened the SAME DAY! (different people)
and it wasnt our fault ANY time.
the guy ran out onto the highway, got hit, died.
the pothole isnt supposed to make airbags go off.
a guy swerved into my friends lane. my friend tried to swerve away, but lost it because of the bald back tires and hit the guard rail.
me, i'm an ***, i was in my 86 turbo chrylser and i went around a blind corner right into a tree.
didn't know it was a turn.
my fault but its cool.

yes. from a jdm 99 itr.
and if i was planning on leaving the bag hooked up, why the hell would i spend all that money to buy an srs wheel? i dont want to hard wire anything. i might just sell it and put my other non srs aftermarket wheel back on. or buy a sparco or something sporty.

Re: air bag plug doesnt match up with eg..HELP!!!! (SOHC Beast)
Not really answering your question but I think the reason why the plugs don't hook up is because of OBD2 and OBD1. The plugs for 96 and up honda/acura use a different plug.
Can some one second that?
